RETRO COMMISSIONING
Retro commissioning (RCx), the process of checking building systems and restoring the operation back to original design parameters and current functional use and efficiency, includes completing energy-efficient modifications, increasing comfort, and setting a guideline for ongoing analysis. During the retrocommissioning process, which can save 4-8% of annual utility costs, we can find opportunities to be easily retrofitted for low and no cost. In many cases, a utility or state program provides incentives and/or rebates to pay for the professional RCx services, as well as a portion of the capital costs of the improvements.
